Living Ontree

A legend and a farewell

What I found here is people 
With wings like birds
Ontrees they launch themselves
Into the great wilderness of the sky
And come down to the forest
To share songs of the infinite

There is no way of Ontree
Only an entryway to the vastness
Of the unexplored universe of being
An invitation to open my heart
Moment by moment
And let that be my way

I leave here with legends
Of elders taking leaps and bounds
To leave their boxes behind
Drop what they carried their whole lives

Men and women with desire
To create a culture beyond what's known
Who paint life in vivid colours
Over the grey world they were shown

Children shining like stars
Here to light up the Earth
To play in the sunshine
Explore all there is to learn

Here are waters that wake me
From the deepest of woes
And wekas that rouse me
With the weirdest bellows

As for me I delighted here
In the garden, in my body
And I go off-tree now 
To sow seeds of this story -
